“Fitting In” focuses on some of Des’s experiences filming his recent acclaimed RTÉ documentary “Joy in the Hood” This series featured the comedian teaching stand-up comedy whilst living in a range of marginalized communities. What followed was a humorous and energetic look at just how well Des fits or fails to fit into the margins of Irish society and how his personality interfaced with the different communities and indeed personalities he encountered along the way.

In early 2003 Des made his mark on the Irish public with his massively successful RTÉ documentary “The Des Bishop Work Experience” and since then he has gone from strength to strength, with his comedy CV enhanced by far more than just his minimum wage work experience.

The native New Yorker’s stand-up has been described as “Dynamic” (The List) and has become a firm favourite with comedy fans in Ireland and well beyond. Des is committed to mentoring stand-up comedians and founded the International Comedy Club in Dublin, which showcases new Irish talents 3 nights a week.
