Patek philippe’s first lavishly illustrated volume on pocket watches is the definitive reference work on the company’s production, from the first patek & czapek watches of 1839. Some 280 watches are illustrated and described, including pocket watches of elegance and beauty, made for popes, princesses, balkan kings and, of course, queen victoria. The complicated watches made for american magnates, including the legendary graves watch, are described in detailed captions and colour illustrations. There is a charming chapter on the adventures of the firm’s founder, antoine norbert de patek, on a business trip to america in the 1850’s. On the technical side, chapters cover such themes as jean adrien philippe’s stem-winding system, tourbillons, carousels, chronometrical competitions and complications. Written by the authority on patek philippe, alan banbery, and patek philippe’s leading enthusiast, martin huber, it yields fresh information and renewed enjoyment at every perusal.

Thats the basic question anyone would ask whether you have the watch or not, before going into the specifics of how you secured these “highly rare” artefacts were these presented to you or you just happen to procure these? It’s okay sir pls opt not to answer..and I don’t expect that you should clarify either ..Respect

@SS88 Please see my reply below, as I won't be engaging with you any further. Good day.

@Clockwork2019 Unfortunately, I can't legislate for those who can't comprehend what is being advertised from the comprehensive description on the ad, or being uneducated to the value of these books , which are not 'catalogues,' as you describe. I'm not misrepresenting anything here, as it clearly states that these are rare books, which a serious watch collector might want to purchase.

If you want to be a 'tyre-kicker' commentator about other people's ads on Adverts, go ahead and fill your boots, if it fulfills you. 🫣☺️

I’m not asking whether the watch is for sale.. I’m asking if you have the watch.. I understand only the literature is, it’s signed and a pure collectible item

No, the watch he is advertising in the picture isn't actually for sale, majorly misleading. Surprised he hasn't been flagged by Adverts. He's looking for over three grand for an advertising booklet. Mental it's not sold yet.

@Fabrice.M: Hi Fabrice, I think I told you before that the watch was not for sale. The books is personally signed by the owners of Patek Phillipe and was gifted in very low numbers to their closest friends and associates, hence the price tag. The second book makes up the set and would only be of interest to a Patek Phillipe collector. I hope this clarifies what's on offer, which is covered in the text of the ad.

Is the watch for sale

Very misleading indeed . Not one person in Ireland will pay 3k for Patek catalogue

What's for sale here, the book I assume? So why shoehorn in a watch into the picture? A bit misleading.
