Vintage map of England (and the east coast of Ireland)in vintage frame
Measuring 40 cm x 47 cm , this print of an antique map by the famous cartographer Robert Morden is in perfect condition and the frame is in excellent vintage condition. This print of Robert Morden’s map is a notable example of late 17th century cartography. Morden was an English mapmaker, bookseller and engraver active in London in this period. His maps were prominently featured in the 1695 edition of William Camden’s Britannia , a comprehensive work detailing the geography and history of Britain.
This map was framed many years ago, in a frame popular at the time. It is not a modern print.
