@CWC: The table is solid mahogany.
My late father bought it second hand in Sandymount in the early 1960’s, it was a used table then too. When he bought it he had it re-polished, it has been in my family since first for 30 years in north Co. Dublin and for the last 30 + years here in Co. Kildare. My family were reared at the table.
