Full frame CMOS sensor
The EOS 5D Mark II with full frame CMOS sensor (36 x 24 mm) is ideal for creative photography. With 21.1 megapixels, the resolution is even higher than the requirements of leading image agencies. Redesigned pixels minimize image noise. In the large and bright viewfinder, your motifs are well in view.
DIGIC 4
The combination of excellent image sensor and new Canon DIGIC 4 processor ensures first-class colour reproduction with fine colour gradations. The processor enables fast boot times, Face Detection AF function in Live View mode and capture Full HD videos.
High ISO.
Ideal for shooting from hands and low light: for shooting in particularly poor lighting conditions, it can be extended to impressive ISO 25,600.
Videos in Full HD
The EOS 5D Mark II has innovative video capabilities for Full HD video (1080) recorded on memory card. You can even take photos in parallel to the video recording. The HDMI port allows playback on any HD TV.
High resolution 3.0" LCD monitor
The 7.6 cm (3.0 inch) LCD monitor with clear view and approx. 920,000 pixels impresses with a wide viewing angle and double anti-reflective coating. In Live View mode, the subject appears in real time on the LCD monitor – in this case three autofocus modes are available: Quick AF, Live AF and Face Detection Live AF.
Up to 3.9 frames per second
The EOS 5D Mark II's continuous shooting function works at up to 3.9 fps. When recording JPEG compressed images to a UDMA compatible card, photos can be stored continuously until the card capacity is reached.
9-point AF + 6 AF auxiliary fields.
The Canon autofocus system with 9 AF points and 6 AF auxiliary fields ensures precise focus.
EOS Integrated Cleaning System
This integrated system offers triple dust protection: reduce dust build-up inside, piezo-controlled sensor cleaning and removal of stubborn dust residue via Digital Photo Professional software.
