Excellent bright sound and responds at very low volume due to thinner weight
These updated A crashes are basically the Zildjian Armand crashes as far as I know. I bought this to replace a K custom dark crash which sounded great under mics but was lost in the live situation. This is a great all-rounder and if I was continuing to work in music I would retain this and augment with a 21 sweet ride and a 17 A series crash. My fave drummer is Mitch Mitchell and this leans into his sound.
This is thin enough to open up with just a finger hit - which is the test I use for all crash cymbals...not 'gongy' at all like previous generations.
Selling my drum stuff due to other commitments
