Mustache Jar
The Guard: The "bridge" across the top rim is a built-in guard designed to keep a man's mustache dry and out of the liquid (typically tea, coffee, or ale) while drinking.
This could be used as a pen holder today to differentiate between pen colours. Cost of postage €6.90.
This is made by Howards pottery from Shanagarry. Same area as Stephen Pearce pottery.
