Early Vintage Legend Products Bossons Style Hand Painted Chalkware Wall Mount Bust

CAPTAIN KIDD (1971, FIRST VERSION)
"Captain Kidd" This piece is not dated, however the Legend Products reference marks this figure as the first of two known versions, designed by Fred Wright, introduced in 1971 and replaced by another design in 1985, so this is one of the rarest and hard to find pieces in this collection. Represents William Kidd, also Captain William Kidd or simply Captain Kidd, a Scottish sailor who was tried and executed for piracy after returning from a voyage to the Indian Ocean. Mustachioed pirate captain has skull and crossbones on the front of his cap, which is worn over a pale green scarf. Marked on bottom side: "Made in England." This piece displays wonderfully and makes an statement or eye catching talking piece!
In relatively good condition( a few chips). Please see photos. Sound and ready to hang!
