Lewes is home to several significant historic buildings, including Lewes Castle, the remains of Lewes Priory, Bull House (the former home of Thomas Paine), Southover Grange and public gardens, a 16th Century timber-framed Wealden Hall House which once belonged to Anne of Cleves, fourth wife of King Henry VIII.
This oblong (12 X 8.5 in.) folder contains a table of contents, followed by twelve black and white prints of antique drawings, showing some famous views (and documents) of Lewes and East Sussex:
