Most Chinese Sterling Silver Plated Jewellery is stamped 925 and most is very good quality.

A good way to check whether an item is Silver Plated as opposed to Solid Sterling Silver is with a Strong Magnet.

Solid Sterling Silver won’t attract a magnet at all.

Very good quality Silver Plated Jewellery will only mildly attract a magnet as there’s a good coating of Silver on it.

Good quality Silver Plated Jewellery will attract a magnet, but won’t stick.

Jewellery that sticks to a magnet is of a lesser quality.
