▪︎ The main idea behind issuing State Quarters in the U.S. was to create a program to revitalise and educate the public about the history and unique characteristics of each State. Each State Quarter featured a unique design Representative of the State it honoured.
The State Quarters program is credited with sparking a renewed interest in coin collecting across America. The 50 State Quarters program is considered the most successful numismatic program in U.S. history , according to the U.S. Mint.
