Description:
Spain pays tribute to the properties and sites inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List with the annual issue of a commemorative 2-euro coin. Membership of this list means that the properties will be protected and preserved.

Continuing the theme started in 2010 for commemorative 2-euro coins to commemorate properties and places included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Royal Mint is dedicating the 2023 issue to the Old City of Cáceres.

This is the fourteenth coin of the annual series dedicated to the sites in Spain included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
