A beautiful medal Hallmarked in 1931 and presented in 1935 to a Mrs Kieran who I have not been able to trace.

The medal was presented by The Gardeners' Chronicle, an internationally renowned British horticultural journal. They sponsored "Special" medals for prestigious regional shows like the RHSI to recognize the best amateur talent in specific flower classes.

​Silversmith: The medal was crafted by Walker & Hall, a famous firm based in Sheffield, England.
​Composition: It is confirmed as Sterling Silver (925/1000 purity) by the "Lion Passant" hallmark.
​Production Date: The hallmark "r" indicates the silver was assayed in 1934, specifically for use in the 1935 show season. Over 42 grams in wt.
