Roman Coin - Julia Domna Denarius - NGC Graded CH AU

Exceptionally nice denarius of Empress Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus. Just about as struck with lovely surfaces and unusual reverse and reverse legend. I have quoted the write up on beast coins for this type below, there's also literature online about this reverse type.
OBV: IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG, Draped bust right, hair weaved in rows, long braid along bottom and tucked at back of head in weaved bun pattern
REV: MAT AVGG MAT SEN M PATR, Julia Domna (possibly as Concordia?) seated left, branch downward in right hand, scepter in left

"Note: The reverse legend appears to have originally been erroneously engraved MAT AVGG MATER N M PATR, with the ER of the second MATER removed to make it look like it was supposed to be MAT SEN once it circulated instead of destroying a perfectly good die. This coin is perfectly preserved as-struck, so it really sticks out like a celator engraving error on this already scarce issue, listing Julia Domna as the mother of two augusti (AVGG), the senate (SEN) and the fatherland (PATR)."
