Old MC Donald livery button
This is an old suit button from a Coach man or Butler in the 1800s. Made in London, my research threw up the following:
In heraldry, this specific crest is most famously associated with several branches of the MacDonald (or Macdonald) clan, as well as families like O'Donnell or MacDonell. It symbolizes a "defender of the faith" or military service tied to Christian ideals.
C & J Weldon were prominent button makers and wholesale warehousemen located at 130 Cheapside, London.
Records indicate they were active under this specific name and at this address during the Victorian and Edwardian eras (roughly 1845 through the early 1900s).
