▪︎ The London based firm John Pinches Medallists was originally founded around 1840 and had the prestigious reputation for master craftsmanship, manufacturing high quality Medals, Metallic Art and Military Decorations, In 1969 the business was acquired by The Franklin Mint of Pennsylvania, Seeking to expand their business into the UK and Europe the Franklin Mint utilised the historic John Pinches name to establish the John Pinches Collector's Club. The first meeting took place on October 30th, 1973, following the launch of the club in 1973, the John Pinches name was used to market Iconic highly successful multi-piece thematic subscription sets throughout the 1970s, some of their most famous releases included.
