The coins celebrate European Architecture and are issued in conjunction with the Europa Coir Programme. The design of the coin, by Michael Guilfoyle, features Áras an Uachtaráin - the official residence of the President of Treland and it marks the 25th anniversary of Gaisce - the President's Award.
