▪︎ It was one of the last Irish Pound Coins to be produced before the formal adoption of the Euro currency in 2002.
▪︎ Obverse : Features The Irish Harp " The National Emblem ".
▪︎ Reverse : Features a stylized ancient ship with long oars , inspired by the " Broighter Boat " from the Broighter Hoard " a gold boat discovered in Northern Ireland in 1896.
