Henry 3rd Shortcross Penny, Substantial Error. Free Post.
An interesting early Henry 3rd Shortcross silver penny dated between 1216-1247 with a seriously flawed reverse strike overlapping the design over eachother.
This is a Canterbury mint penny under the moneyer Osmund, a fairly infrequent find and type, let alone with such an interesting error. This also continues to the obverse jumbling the legends how with the portrait still remaining perfect and identifiable.
