1972 Bicentennial Commemorative Medal.
The obverse has Houdon Bust of George Washington, facing right
Minted at Philadelphia, the mint mark "P" under neck /bottom
Reverse is The Liberty Tree,13 colonies, in Join or Die Flag Design.
Medal is encased in plastic, which allows removal from the black plastic display case.
Comes with attached information sheet.
The case has slight wear from storage.
The information sheet has slight yellowing from age, with glue fading into sheet

Has not been graded or certified, so for sale "as is" in a proof uncirculated state.

Details of proof condition: Not visible to naked eye, under high magnification, raised edge has tiny indentations probably incurred by contact with other freshly minted coins post stamping at the mint preparatory to packaging in the clear rigid plastic capsule.

A collectible for American Medal Collections.

There is no paper leaflet or numbering in the folding case.

The external case package has partial rubbing wear on the gold print on the spine, the rest of the gold print on the front is in original condition
