▪︎ This beautiful Illustrated, framed display features two genuine 1808 East India Company " 10 Cash " copper coins recovered directly from the famous shipwreck of the " Admiral Gardner ". The ship belonged to the historic East India Company and sank during a massive storm at the Goodwin Sands, off the coast of England on January 25th, 1809. The Wreck sat on the ocean floor for 175 years until it was officially salvaged in the mid 1980s!

▪︎ Denomination : 10 Cash ( The word " Cash " comes from the ancient Tamil word Kasu, meaning currency ).
▪︎ Minted In England : These were struck at the famous Soho Mint in Birmingham using early steam-powered coin presses.
▪︎ Double-Sided View : The frame displays both sides of the currency. One coin shows the historic East India Company Coat of Arms ( Lions and Shield ), while the other shows the " X Cash " Denomination alongside Persian script.

▪︎ Ready to Hang : Housed in a lovely dark wood-style frame with a vintage nautical illustration detailing the ships history.

▪︎ Condition : Excellent Vintage Condition. Frame and glass are fully intact with no major scuffs. The coins show incredible detail for being underwater for nearly two centuries, featuring the East India Company Coat of Arms on one side and Persian script on the other.
The Coins survived in such remarkable condition for 175 years due to a perfect combination of industrial packaging, lack of oxygen and protective sand.
