Sellers note
If your looking to get invested in gold to make gains on another bull run; but afraid gold could drop further; then why not go with this 'currency backed gold'; this coin is a legal tender face value of €500; this means that if gold dropped down to €100/oz (practically worthless given today's prices) this coin would still be worth €500.
The coin contains 3g of gold ~1/10oz
Currently this coin is being sold at it's source (Monnaie de Paris) [French Mint] for €570; so €510 is a great deal.
OK, so lets talk about the elephant in the room; yes this coin is legal tender; however only in France; if you want to actually 'spend' it; you would have to go to Monnaie de Paris in Paris to trade it in for common notes and coins of equal value.

Description:
Occitanie :
The obverse of this coin gathers symbols dear to the Occitanie region. Together, they encapsulate the essence of what makes up the identity of the region.
At the center of the drawing, the Occitan cross, adorned with the name of the region, links all the other elements. On the right, Olympe de Gouge, a woman of letters and a revolutionary born in Montauban, is depicted and named. Below her portrait are the Arènes de Nîmes. They illustrate the thousand-year-old architectural heritage of the region. On the left, the natural beauty of Occitanie is shown with a view of the Pyrenees mountain range and the head of a mountain ibex from the region. Finally, a starry sky with Saturn and a rocket flying through it is a nod to the aerospace industry, which is inextricably linked to the capital of the region: Toulouse.
