An exceedingly nice Franc à Pied of Charles 5th of France, only minted in 1365, making this 661 years old!
4 grams of pure gold, huge 30mm flan to admire it fully.
Fantastic details throughout, no clipping, cracking or any damage aside from the contemporary (14 or 15th century) mounting that was done to the coin, which could be removed.
This coin is just amazing. This is also the only one available in Ireland. So don't worry about postage fees!
Original purchase ticket from September 1991 at a sum of £150 is included.
