Commemorative Two Pound Coin
This is a British 1986 XIII Commonwealth Games £2 coin featuring a Scottish thistle design.
Commemorative Issue: The coin was issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 13th Commonwealth Games held in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Design: The reverse features a thistle encircled by a laurel wreath superimposed on the cross of Saint Andrew, designed by Norman Sillman.
First Circulating £2: This was the UK's first-ever circulating £2 coin.
