China Kwangtung Province Dragon Dollar - Kuang Hsu Yuan Bao, 7 Mace 2 Candareens
Chinese provincial silver dollar from Kwangtung (Guangdong) Province, issued under the Guangxu Emperor. Obverse bears Chinese legends naming the province, reign title, and the traditional weight denomination of 7 Mace and 2 Candareens (equivalent to one dollar). Reverse depicts the imperial five-clawed dragon encircled by the English inscription "KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE / 7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS."
Diameter approx. 39mm. Please note: the strike on this example is unusually sharp with die-polish lines still visible in the fields, which is atypical for a 100-year-old circulated coin — buyers should be aware this may be a later restrike or reproduction rather than an original mint issue.
