A lovely little Hammered French Gold Demi Ecu d'Or Minted under Charles the 7th the Victorious between 1422 and 1461. This Gold piece weights at 1.32 grams and tests at a .979 purity, very buttery yellow in appearance.

There are obviously issues with it, it's clipped, worn and the flan is cracked and with mounting marks, however this is a thin 600 year old piece of gold, so what can you expect with all that history! Hence the accordingly placed price eventhough these rare half ecu sell for over a grand in better shape.

Offers for this scarce little coin are more than welcome. Again it has been priced accordingly to previous selling prices of comparible low grades. Scrap offers will be rejected, this is history, not your cheap profiteering opportunity.
