Description:
Although the countless artists themselves are rarely known, in Belgium we encounter their creative expressions almost daily, brightening up the streetscape. Unlike graffiti, street art often has a clearer message and a wall-sized image, often commissioned. The quality is high, and the artist aims to attract attention and make a difference with their work in public spaces.

Many Belgian cities are literally putting street art on the map these days, and more and more tours, festivals, and apps are being developed to guide residents and tourists past all the art in public spaces. Now, in collaboration with five renowned Belgian street artists, an NFT* collection has been created and added to the coin issuance in coincard. The collection consists of two 5,000 special 2.5-euro Belgian coins in coincard. The five street artists provide a good representation of the diverse art styles adorning the walls of Belgian cities. Regular wall-sized, now home-sized and in motion!

A special art form deserves a special extra!

The phenomenon of street art in Belgium prompted the Royal Mint of Belgium to issue a €2.5 coin in collaboration with one of Belgium's most famous street artists: Bue the Warrior. He created the coin design, the packaging, and the accompanying NFT! The €2.5 coin is minted in BU quality and comes in a coin card with two language versions. Because street art takes such diverse forms in Belgium, even more works by renowned Belgian street artists have been added to the coin card as a free NFT*! Check out which specially created work by one of the five Belgian street artists will be included with your coin as an exclusive digital bonus!

The obverse of the coin features a cheerful little bird, which, like the "Streetart" text, was created with the spray can BE on the left. The little bird appears frequently in Bue the Warrior's work and is therefore Bue's signature, with his name also appearing at the bottom right.
