Antique post world war 1 inflation tokens
Rare set of three commemorative coins/tokens from 1923.
These coins commemorating inflation in the wake of the first world war, recall the German people's path of suffering in text and images.
The obverses are identical and depict an emaciated family man trying to comfort his starving wife and child against a backdrop of leafless, dry branches.
The reverse illustrate the drastic decline in the value of the mark, using commodity prices from 1st of November to 1st of December.
The coins are 1.1/4 inches(3.1 cm) in diameter. Case measures 5.1/2 inches (14 cm) X 2.1/4 inches (5.7 cm)
