1938 British King George VI Silver Threepence

A 1938 British King George VI Silver Threepence coin in a lovely collectible condition.
In 1937 the silver threepence underwent a reverse design change,with the 'oak' design replaced by Saint George's Cross on a Tudor rose.
From 1937, new 12-sided nickel-brass threepence coins were introduced, which were circulated alongside the silver threepence.

Obverse: George Vl head facing left
Reverse: A shield with the St Georges cross on it placed upon a Tudor rose, the date is split in half and placed on either side of the coin.
Composition: Silver
Fineness: 500/1000
Diameter: 16.26mm
