Vintage 1970s Diamond Shanghai Mechanical Flip Date Alarm Clock

Vintage Diamond Shanghai mechanical alarm clock, made in Shanghai, China, believed to date from the 1970s.

A really distinctive retro clock with an analogue clock face and large mechanical flip-style date display. It has the original cream case, silver face, chrome-effect surround and Diamond logo.
Fully working and in very good original condition for its age. The mechanical movement runs correctly and the clock is winding and operating as it should.

Features include mechanical hand-wound movement, alarm function, large calendar/date display, adjustable timekeeping regulator and original rear controls and winders.

There is some light age-related wear and tarnishing, particularly around the lower edge of the surround, as can be seen in the photos, but overall it presents very well for a clock of this age.
