Vintage 1960s Mauthe German Chiming Mantel Clock. Streamlined "Buffet" style casing featuring long, low wooden side wings and a square face with rounded "TV-screen" corners. Dimensions (cm): 56x21x12. Good vintage condition. Mauthe chiming clocks typically feature a three-train mechanical movement with three winding holes on the dial. The center hole powers the timekeeping, the left hole powers the quarter-hour chime melody, and the right hole operates the hourly strike count. The time-keeping side does not currently tick or run.The strike/chime train appears to be working. Original winding key is included. In use in the 1960s and 1970s. In storage since then.
