Elliot of London Early 20th Century Lantern Clock
James Jones Elliott began his clock making apprenticeship in 1865..He went on to open his own firm in 1886 and his two sons went on to follow him in to the business. Elliott's have been synonymous with top quality movements from the outset and were reatiled at the top end of the market.This brass and gilded metal lantern clock is highly collectibe and desirable..It has an eight day presicion movement and is purring away like a kitten..It is 12 inches tall..four 4 across the base and weighs 2.2kgs..It is in overall lovely condition..a little lifting to the metal gilding.I will include registered post and very safe packing for the new custodian.
