An antique mantel clock in a wooden case in the shape of Napoleon's hat. The clock face is signed by the prestigious, former jeweler and watchmaker Sharman D. Neill Ltd. of Belfast. The device likely dates from the first half of the 20th century (Edwardian period or the 1920s/1930s).
"Sharman D. Neill Ltd. Belfast." This company often imported high-quality movements (e.g., German or French) and sold them under its own brand in Northern Ireland.
The clock is in excellent cosmetic condition and fully functional.
It works and strikes the hours, half-hours, and quarter-hours with a strike block.
Unfortunately, the pendulum has been lost, so the clock runs fast.
The original signed key is included.
