Antique German DUFA Box Wall Clock, Fully Working with Original Key (c. 1920s)

For sale is a beautiful, early 20th-century German regulator box wall clock manufactured by the esteemed DUFA (Deutsche Uhrenfabrik), dating roughly between 1920 and 1925. Unlike many antique clocks on the market, this clock is fully operational. Both the timekeeping train and the striking mechanism work flawlessly. It keeps great time and chimes a beautiful, resonant tone cleanly on the half-hour and the full hour.

Key Features:
Original Branded Key: Comes with its rare, authentic factory-stamped "DUFA" iron winding key—a major plus for collectors as these are rarely kept together over the last century.

Premium Acoustic System: The interior features the famous cast-iron "Largo Gong" base and hardened steel rod mechanism, giving it a deep, cathedral-like lingering chime instead of a tinny ring.

Authentic Movement: The backplate of the mechanical 8-day movement is clearly stamped with the classic DUFA clock-tower logo, serial number 140291, and plate model P.48. It also features historical hand-etched watchmaker service marks from its past care.

Beautiful Cabinetry: Solid oak case featuring a dentaled top cornice, fluted side pillars, and a multi-pane glass-mullioned lower pendulum door.
Condition: Excellent vintage, working condition. The oak case has a gorgeous deep patina. The white dial shows minor cosmetic paint flaking around the center arbor, consistent with its 100-year age and active use. The thin dust cloth originally covering the side sound ports has worn away over time, but the wood ports themselves are perfectly intact.

Collection/Delivery:
Due to the delicate nature of the mechanical pendulum and internal springs, collection is highly recommended so it doesn't get damaged in transit. However, I can personally deliver the clock for an additional €5 within the South Dublin area (ensuring it is transported flat and safely).
