Set of six original Fritz Hansen Series 7 chairs, made in 1972, designed by Arne Jacobsen, Denmark.

A classic of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, the Series 7 chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and remains one of the most iconic Scandinavian chair designs ever produced.

This set dates from 1972. Four of the chairs retain their original Fritz Hansen underside/base plates with the dated manufacturer's markings. The two remaining chairs are from the same matching set but their identification plates are no longer present.

Condition:
Good vintage condition for chairs over 50 years old. There are some paint chips, scratches and general signs of use across the seats and edges, together with some mild surface rust/patina to the legs.

The chairs have not been repainted or heavily restored, retaining their vintage character and patina.

A very attractive matching set for a Mid-Century Modern interior, dining room, office or design collection.
