Rare Irish Folk Birthing Chair
Unusual carved wooden Irish folk chair with traditional three-legged construction, decorative trefoil cut-outs, and cowhide upholstery. The chair was found in an old house in Ireland and has been identified by an antiques dealer as a traditional Irish birthing chair. It displays beautiful rustic craftsmanship and would make an exceptional addition to a collection of Irish folk furniture or as a striking decorative statement piece.
