mid century camel stool

For sale is a vintage mid-century Anglo-Indian camel saddle footstool in the traditional Hoshiarpur style.

The heavy hardwood frame is rock-solid, tight, and completely sturdy with no structural wobbles or weak joints.

The piece needs a good clean and polish to bring back its original luster. The original black leather cushion is structurally intact but shows vintage wear, scuffs, and one missing button core. The intricate brass wire inlay is mostly present, with typical minor lifting or wear on a few of the small brass foil leaves. The solid brass feet bands carry a heavy, genuine aged patina.

This is a fantastic, honest restoration piece with great bones, perfect as a unique footrest, entryway bench, or eclectic statement piece.
