Antique Victorian Elm Stool with Hand Hole, Tall, Turned Legs

Antique Victorian Elm Stool with Hand Hole, Tall, Turned Legs Antique Victorian Elm Stool with Hand Hole, Tall, Turned Legs Chairs

Antique tall stool, most likely Victorian (late 19th century), with a thick round elm seat and the classic hand hole for carrying.

Raised on four turned baluster legs joined by turned stretchers. Lovely wild elm grain on the seat and a deep, dark patina from many years of use.

Genuine age-related wear throughout: knocks and scratches, softened edges, a few old screw holes and small marks on the seat top, and some paint flecks on the legs. Please note one of the four footrest stretchers is missing, so it is priced to reflect that. A woodturner could easily replace it, or it works well as is for display. Sturdy and full of character, or a great character piece for a kitchen, hallway, bathroom or as a plant stand.

Dimensions: height approx. 74 cm (bar stool height), seat diameter approx. 34 cm

Collection only from Raheny, Dublin 5. Cash on collection.
