For sale is a finely-made porcelain Disney merchandise mug featuting WINNIE THE POOH with friends; Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. This mug is in excellent condition and in clean unused condition.

Winnie the Pooh was a toy bear and whose adventures with friends were written by illustrator and writer of children's stories and poetry, A. A. Milne (1882-1956). Winnie's stories first appeared in the London's Evening News newspaper during Christmas 1925 and the first Winnie the Pooh book published in 1926 with more following until 1928. 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the first Winnie the Pooh book.

In 1930, Milne signed a contract with Stephen Slesinger who bought the merchandising rights to Winnie-the-Pooh for $1,000 in order to make merchandise based on the characters. As the creator, Milne would still receive royalties from the Stephen Slesinger Inc. company (SSI).
In 1961, The Walt Disney Company bought the rights to the Winnie the Pooh franchise from SSI and continued paying SSI some royalties as well as royalties paid to the Pooh Properties Trust. In 1966 Disney released their first animated film, Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree with others following into the 1970s. in 2001, Disney bought out all the remaining rights and totally owned the franchise along with all its merchandising rights.
