Wedgwood - Double handed vase (1) - Moonstone Porcelain
Pure elegance, the beautiful design and simple style of the ribbed pattern, make this object very attractive. Beautiful to use as a 'center piece' on a beautifully set table or mantelpiece.
Wedgwood's Moonstone has a matt white glaze and was developed in the 1930s by Norman Wilson, master potter, inventor and Wedgwood Works Manager.
The glaze is more satin or eggshell than matte and accentuates the classic shape of the vases.
The vase is in good vintage condition, there may be some minor marks on the inside consistent with age and use.
