Jasper stoneware, or jasper china, is a type of pottery first developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. It has an unglazed matte "biscuit" surface and is produced in several different colours, the most common and well known being a pale blue, dubbed "Wedgwood blue". Jasper china is characterised by relief decoration in contrasting colours (usually white, but others are also available) creating a cameo effect. Good condition, with no cracks or chips. See photos for details and dimensions.
