Quirky and kitschy cute ceramic Beetroot pot from Sadler Pottery of Staffordshire, England. Cute anthropomorphic face on both sides of the jar, with Beetroot word on the lid. Lovely dark maroon glossy glaze. Marked Sadler England on base. This adorable jar would make a novelty serving dish for beetroot on the table, or keep as a highly collectable piece of English mid-century kitchenalia. The beetroot face pots are not as commonly found as the onion face pots, especially in such good condition!

Excellent condition for its age, with some light crazing in glaze!
