Item Description
For sale is an authentic, beautiful vintage miniature decorative plate crafted from fine French Limoges porcelain. Decorated by the notable mid-century workshop of Jean Feuillade, the reverse features his signature crowned shield mark with the gothic "F" emblem and the phrase "Véritable Porcelaine d’Art".
Design Details:
The front showcases a classic, colorful 18th-century Rococo romantic courting scene in the manner of Fragonard. It depicts a marquis and marquise in elegant purple and rose attire. The plate features a textured, scalloped edge highlighted with gleaming gold gilt trim. The word "VERDELAIS" is clearly printed in gold lettering along the bottom edge, adding a unique regional touch.
Display Mount:
Attached securely to the plate is a vintage brass display mechanism. The clover-shaped leaf at the base hinges outward, acting as a sturdy kickstand for display on a shelf, desk, or vanity. It also includes an upper loop hook for wall hanging.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The porcelain glaze remains glossy and bright, and the central illustration is fully intact with minimal wear. Please see photos for precise condition details. Perfect for collectors of fine French porcelain, miniature curiosities, or Hollywood Regency/Rococo decor!
