Vintage Kilkenny Irish Studio Pottery Vase Hand Painted Olives Signed Ceramic

Beautiful vintage Kilkenny Irish studio pottery vase, featuring a wonderful combination of natural terracotta, cream crackle glaze and hand-painted olive decoration.

A particularly attractive and unusual piece of Irish studio ceramics, with a warm unglazed terracotta lower body, visible hand-thrown detailing and a beautifully shaped, gently ruffled rim.

The upper section features a soft cream crackle glaze decorated with deep purple olives and delicate green foliage, creating a lovely Mediterranean-inspired design.

The underside is clearly impressed KILKENNY with a distinctive K emblem, which also appears on a small applied ceramic medallion on the body. There is an additional impressed individual maker's mark to the base.

Believed to date from the late 1970s to 1980s, although the precise maker and age have not been confirmed.

A beautiful example of vintage Irish craftsmanship, perfect for collectors of Irish pottery, studio ceramics, rustic interiors, Mediterranean decor and vintage home accessories.
