Vintage Coffee set by Johnson Brothers circa 1960/70's PRICE DROP SEE BELOW

A Fine example of vintage Johnson Brothers Ironstone China Coffee set , consisting of 6 cups (closer in size to small mugs) & saucers, a creamer jug, sugar bowl (no lid) & a gorgeous generous sized Coffee pot.
This 1960-1970s set is the Chelsea Collection Kings Road pattern of bright red poppy flowers. Designed and made by Johnson Brothers, a British tableware manufacturer, and exporter founded in 1883.

The beautiful illustrated flowers, leaves, and stems are in a retro 70s style which is somewhat reminiscent of the organic Art Nouveau period. The plate background is a very pale blue-green with brown specks throughout. The edge is rimmed with a gunmetal band. Ironstone china is a type of vitreous pottery first made in the UK in the early 19th century. The set is in excellent condition no chips, cracks,hairlines or crazing & the colours are luminescent.
