Vintage Chinese ceramic lidded trinket/jewellery box
A large, heavily decorated Chinese ceramic jewellery or trinket box.
The lid features children in traditional dress playing hide-and-seek.
The decoration is enhanced by hand-applied gilded outlines, embossed blue and red dots and white birds, and a gilded rim.
The body of the box has a contrasting dark blue background but also features gilded outlines, a gilded rim and embossed blue dots. The main decoration is flowers in vivid blues, pinks and oranges.
The box measures c. 19.5cm by 11cm and weighs c. 607g. It is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks.
