Vintage c1940 Alfred Meakin "The Hayride" Tureen
Alfred Meakin's 'The Hayride' patterned lidded tureen/serving dish come with rich gilding to rims and handles. Depicted is a warm nostalgic rural scene, with a horse drawn cart filled with hay, children atop and travelling along an idyllic country road.
Minor rubbing to gilding.

12 cm to top of lid x 21, 5 cm wide (excl tab handles)
Backstamp for 1945 from the Alfred Meakin pottery at Tunstall, Staffordshire.
In great condition and this item will look fabulous on your dining table.
This tureen is vintage and may therefore show signs of use and age and will not be dishwasher proof.
