For sale is a vintage and finely made hand-painted figurine by Royal Doulton, titled THE SCHOOLMARM and carries their catalogue number HN 2223. This nicely detailed figurine was designed by Margaret 'Peggy' Davies (1922-1999) and issued by Royal Doulton from 1958 to 1981.
HN numbers were assigned to each figurine produced by Royal Doulton, with HN 1 being issued in 1912. The initials HN stand for Harry Nixon, who was their chief artist at the time. All Royal Doulton figurines were produced by the slip-casting method and hand-painted.
There is no damage of any kind on this figurine, as I can see.
