Suzanne May Pottery Casserole Dish Irish Studio Pottery Dublin Lidded

Vintage handmade lidded casserole or serving pot by Suzanne May Pottery, Dublin, Ireland.

The pot has a cream glazed body with pale blue sections, stylised blue-and-yellow floral decoration, twin side handles and a matching handled lid.

The original label underneath identifies Suzanne May Pottery at Studio 61/68, P.E.A. Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2. It also states that the pot was suitable for conventional ovens, microwaves and dishwashers when manufactured.

Approximately 20 cm across the inner opening, excluding the handles.

Used vintage condition with glaze crazing, light staining, surface wear and handmade firing irregularities. No major crack is obvious in the photographs, but the lid, handles and rim should be inspected carefully.

A distinctive piece of Irish studio pottery suitable for use, display or collection.
