Set of Antique Blue and White Serving Items by Pountney & Co. Ltd. The Bristol Pottery in the "Emerson" Pattern Consisting of Two Lidded Tureens and a Matching Gravy Boat, Circa 1900+

A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all the contents of my dressers and cabinets and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. I'm making progress but more items need to go!

I have quite the selection of individual decorative Blue and White plates and platters and serving items which I have collected over the years with the idea of having a mad wall display, but never quite got round to it, and I have too many to display elsewhere.

For sale here is a Lovely Set of Antique Blue and White Serving Items by Pountney & Co. Ltd. The Bristol Pottery in the "Emerson" Pattern Consisting of Two Lidded Tureens and a Matching Gravy Boat, Circa 1900+

A really Fabulous and decorative set of serving dishes in a fabulous Blue and White Pattern, they would look really fabulous as part of a mix and match set of blue and white delph.

Pountney & Co, Ltd. The Briston Pottery were established in 1889 (although they claim and earlier date of 1750 on their backstamps!!) They operated out of works in Brislington, Bristol, where there work was highly regarded as being on a par with the many staffordshire potteries. The closed in the late 1960's.

These items have the Triangular Backstamp with the Crossed Swords and England underneath. This stamp dates the pieces to circa 1900+

I am selling these pieces as a set and they include the following:
Two matching Lidded Tureens/Vegetable Dishes and a matching gravy boat. The pattern is a stunning floral and foliage pattern in a really vibrant blue, very striking.

One Tureen is in excellent Antique Condition considering it is over 100 years old, with no chips, cracks or pattern loss but with some age related crazing in parts. The second tureen lid has one small chip as photographed. The gravy boat has mild discolouration on the inside bottom and a fleabite on the handle as photographed. Both have been taken into account when pricing.

Would be fabulous when mixed and matched with other Blue and White Ware to make up a dinner service.
